ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵNew Year Water Festival

The ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵSchool of Culture, History & Language (CHL) is proud to host this culmination of the three-day ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵNew Year Water Festival in celebration of the Myanmar New Year in April, also known as the Water Festival. The occasion originated from old Hinduism but is now widely recognised as a culture of Theravada Buddhism countries.
The festival is spread across three days from 17 to 19 April, and features:

- ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵWater Festival: Grand Finale
At the grand finale of this festival, the Burmese Program and ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵMyanmar Student Association will present some dancing, karaoke and a taste of Myanmar cuisine!
Plus, it is an ideal opportunity to learn a lot about not only Myanmar and the Burmese language, but also about the cultures of neighboring countries.
